Billion star accommodation

Billion star accommodation in the heart of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Still one of my favourite places to stay and explore. Karijini National Park is incredible, aiming to get back there in the next few months!

Wow that's awesome.

There are only like 30-40 visible stars in Korea where I live on the average night, but I was always interested in astro-photography.

What kinds of stuff do you use?

I use whatever I have on hand at the time. This shot was taken with the Canon 5Dmk2 many years ago.

It looks great, especially seeing stars so close to the horizon. I suppose Western Australian Air is very clear and the light pollution is minimal.

There are few places in the world where you can see stars all the way to the horizon, Western Australia has many of them and so does other outback Australian areas. :)
