Golden Hour: imposing sunset over my hometown caused by Russian volcano

Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

If you live in Europe or North America, the chances are you have recently witnessed a strikingly colored sunset (or sunrise) like this one.

I took this shot of an epic sunset over my Czech hometown just yesterday. The unusual coloration of the sky is caused by volcanic fallout from a remote Russian volcano Raikoke that is located on the Kuril Islands, a volcanic archipelago in Sakhalin Oblast, a distant region in Russia´s Far East.

The volcano actually erupted 4 months ago but it took some time for the dust particles to get into the stratosphere where it got dispersed over most of the Northern Hemisphere. According to the meteorologists, these spectacular phenomena might occur for a few more weeks or even months.
