Trip Portugal - Macieirinha Romantic Museum #2 - Porto

Continuing with my last part of the article about the visit to the beautiful Romantic Museum of Macieirinha that is inside the crystal palace, which is a garden in the center of Porto that has a spectacular view over the Douro River (in the next article I write I will present this beautiful place).

In the garden of the crystal palace, if you follow the directions for the romantic museum you will find this place that I am writing in the article. There was almost nobody on my visit, so it is very safe to visit this space.

In this museum you can see very old furniture, but I can say that in the past, Portuguese furniture was a very strong industry with a lot of quality. My grandfather made most of the furniture for my parents house and I can say that they are still in excellent condition today. The quality of the materials of that time were much better and because of that they are very durable.

In this corridor we find several quarters with some photographs of the city of Porto in the last century. Impressive how my city has evolved a lot, but in the last 3 years there has been a tourism boom. The world has discovered the beauty of this magnificent city.

In this last photo we see the blueprint of the city of Porto of the last century, it even looks like a very small city. Nowadays it is much bigger, but we cannot say that it is a great metropolis but it is a very beautiful city and preserves the city history.
