Murals those represent a city - Street Arts from Kharkov Streets

“Art is an evolutionary act. The shape of art and its role in society is constantly changing. At no point is art static. There are no rules.”
Raymond Salvatore Harmon, BOMB: A Manifesto of Art Terrorism

I don't know so much about the art world because my creative world is slightly different from true artwork and a little bit technical as well. Basically, my world is fully based on the brain, some pencils, lines, and digital Softwares which I enjoy a lot.

But after coming here in Ukraine, I came to know that here people love arts and admire them a lot. In fact, they consider art as beauty where my country considers art just as a hobby. Well, I really appreciate and admire all types of art and artist as well.

I have mentioned before that I will continue my mural series, graffiti photography collection as I love to capture different types of murals and admire them. I personally feel that these murals should be presented to the world and deserve appreciation.

This mural is known as the realistic mural, I am not sure but this is realism art. As I don't know much about Ukraine's history, so I don't know who is this person artist tried to represent.

This mural represents firefighter though I am not 100% sure but I am guessing because of the color and that van. But this is for sure that the artist tried to represent a person who is a social worker.

This is line art mural which represents visual arts. I am not good at line drawing or motif because I think creating this type of motif drawing needs patience, concentration, and energy which I don't have nowadays. I really like this mural because it reminds me of NOKSI KATHA (an indigenous motif from my country).

These are fragmented murals and in my last post, I have written about them.

“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make someone smile while they're having a piss.”
Banksy, Banging Your Head Against a Brick Wall

True words...

This mural is kinda motivational which is saying " what a nice day"...

“People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish... but that's only if it's done properly.”
Banksy, Wall and Piece

To be honest, Kharkiv city is full of beautiful murals, graffiti, some might be fragmented but they are part of the city. They actually represent the entire city.

I will continue my series, whether I understand the concept or not but maybe soon I will find out all of the meaning of these murals after lockdown when I will be able to meet my Ukrainian friends.

Let me know which one you like most, also if you have an idea about these murals or any information please let me know. I would love to know about them.

Hi Priyan!
What a lovely subject to write about!
I actually love art and slowly am returning back to sketching after a long absence of more than a decade.
I have been doing some research for my city's murals and have been posting about them in my community @aboutheraklion so I may come back with more details here.
We also have a festival held every year, where artists from all around the world gather and go to old, abandoned neighborhoods and transform them with their art and colors!
Thanks again I loved all the above and will be waiting for more!
Greetings my dear

First of all, thank you so much @katerinaramm , I know how amazing and sweet person you are. Well, to be honest, recently I tried to do some artworks which I don't consider as artworks because they are just childish. But one thing is improving and that is my color skill. :P

After lockdown, hopefully, this summer I will be able to explore more. You are so lucky, maybe next time you will share some information with me as well...

Stay blessed my dear...
