We were connected and little by little the energy did not flow,
We had our moment to share experiences but today it is gone,
We go from words to riddles,
where we both assume what the other needs.
The new companion appeared when we least expected it,
entertained my mind in trivialities was lost,
blocked my ears to the meaning of your words,
unconfigured the translator of your intentions.
That's how we disconnected,
as electricity no longer magnetized us,
the light that shone on us went out,
Limiting the glances while you commented something.
It was important to have you in front of me,
In your world of technology I am not a main code,
in my world of pixels you don't combine or import,
So we became two bulbs that don't light.

I fully understand what it is like to stay in a long-dead relationship. I did it so my kids would have their father around 24/7. Best advice is to follow your gut instinct. I did.

Believe it or not, prolonging these situations is the most harmful, neither being happy and the children notice the type of treatment they have even if they do not say so.
The time we have in this life is too short to let it pass without being happy.
That is true. Children see everything even if they do not understand what they see. They act it out as they subconsciously try to understand it.
