So, I decided to have a little fun tonight...
Most of you already know that I am a huge music fan.
I am also a great lover of the written word,
and expression in general.

So, I decided to do a little bit of a
lyrical poetry "mashup"...
relevant to my current thoughts,
and compliments of just a few of my
favourite tracks.

Some words theirs, some mine...

It's a frightening night,
and the wind has a roar
It seeps through the hall,
and from under the door.
It’s a a 21st century lesson
In the obsession for more.

Like the shit that was said
don’t take it that well,
No matter for thought
I will turn my head.

Sucker love is heaven sent
You pucker up our passion's spent
My hearts a tart, your body's rent
My body's broken yours is bent,
tit for tat, it was all lent.

Oh,

you don't mean nothing at all to me.
You either stand or you fall,
When your will is broken,
When it slips from your hand,
When there's no time for joking,
and there's a hole in the plan,

it's time to pull the rope in...
Let’s add it up for choking!

One, don't pick up the phone,
You know he's only calling 'cause he's drunk and alone!
Two, don't let him in,
You'll have to kick him out again!
Should we look at the rest
Because three times is a test…

Oh,

Mark my words,

Wanting you
was the worst thing
I could do,

I threw my hands in the air,
said show me something,
Round and around we go…

I will never be your stepping stone
Take it all or leave me alone
I'm standing upright on my own.

I can feel something inside me say
I really don't think you're strong enough.
I know that I'll get through this
'Cause I know that I am strong.

I've got thick skin and an elastic heart
I know that I can survive
I walked through fire to save my life.
I won't just survive...

Oh,

you will see me thrive!

This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in, think again
Don't be surprised,
I will still rise!
