MY STEEM STORY

A Power House Creatives Initiative

Everyone has a story – and all our stories have something in common… we all started from nothing and knew nothing. People want to hear stories. They want to hear OUR stories — they want to know who we are, where we are from, what we are doing, who and what we love, what we have learnt and where we are going. People also want us to hear their story! Being a part of the Steem network is an individual journey for every single one of us and through this initiative we will share our stories not only with all who are already here – hopefully inspiring, guiding and informing them… but doing the same for everyone else in the world too. Through our stories we will prick the curiosity of those who have not yet arrived and illuminate and widen the already open doors to our one in a million blockchain.

Where my Steem Journey began

The first time I heard the word steemit was on a bus on my way home, with the midday heat, hunger and many things on my mind I met a distant cousin and we talked a bit about the economic problems and possible solutions and alternatives to solve them.

Then she mentioned to me that one of her sisters used steemit and that I could try it out, without further details I got off the bus and started investing in what I got home. At first, I found it hard to believe, although I didn't know how to start, I decided to enter this world and I investigated through youtube and few videos appeared in Spanish and almost all of them from the same person @mayvil I have a lot to thank him for.

This is how I started 6 months ago learning every detail daily and what I lack, I spent many hours trying to understand and learn, adapting to steemit is not easy because there are always many updates there must be adapted to change as everything in life but it is not something unpleasant either. This is an adventure that should be enjoyed and the more you do it the more pleasant it becomes.

My initial challenges & how I overcame them

My challenge was to know nothing at all, I didn't even know the difference between a post and a blog, much less the markdown, learning everything from scratch with many unknown terms was the hardest thing.

Once I was clear about what steemit was, many fears arose in me, along with the responsibility and commitment of a message. Knowing that I could go very far and be read by thousands of people around the world made me think that I should be responsible and assume the consequences of what I wanted to send to the world with my message. First I thought that I did not have something valuable to share but I discarded that bad thought and I realized that I had much to share, give away and teach others like everyone else.

Today I feel satisfied, happy and in full development to be here, with many more relationships and virtual friends than I could ever imagine.

From the platform what I have found so far is to publish in many communities and use the tags that are most related to the topics in the posts.

My golden nugget advice

Write from what you know, from what you have experienced in your life, be authentic and sincere in writing that this is transmitted and breaks barriers of distance, time and space.

The truth always comes through the internet.

My communities are many, as I write about tourism, prosperity, spirituality, animals, and everything else I can think of.

So I participate in several but due to network failures, I can only chat in the discordant ones since it is not the time of good sign that I enjoy.

But my favorites are #Powerhousecreatives, #Votovzla, #Steemitasclub.

Also among the people I follow are and invite you to participate in this initiative if you have not yet done so.

excelente publicación, te felicito amiga personas como tu son las que deben estar aquí, ya pronto seras grande en Steemit, lo que hay que hacer es involucrarse y ínter actuar también es importante el discord y estar presente en las actividades

I love how your journey here started through a process of "problem solving" and though despite not having any knowledge... you took the initiative to educate yourself. That is really admirable! This is a wonderful contribution to the #mysteemstory initiative hon, thank you for sharing it with us!
