Just a short post to remind everyone that if you are a newcomer to the Hive and started on the platform 1st July 2021 or later, that you have only a few days left to enter the "Paying it Forward" (#PIF) contest. For now, just limit yourself to curating and upvoting a few articles per day. You can usually do 5-10 upvotes at 100% without exhausting it. ust keep an eye.

I'll just post it right here, right now.! Because that's the type of person I am! I'm what you call a go getter. If I see something I want, I fixate on it. And I find a way to manifest it into reality!
I joined the Hive about a month and a half ago or so and you know I've had a lot of fun posting here! I've already experienced ups and downs along the way and you know it's easy to say that I got frustrated when they tried to hit me for plagiarism. Especially since I had written the material that they were saying was plagiarism.
But I digress because you know it wasn't plagiarism but it definitely could have been handled better personally I should have given the credit to the people that had helped me write it which was taken care of this whole nonsense was squashed. And then my writing the next couple of stories were too graphic for the hive. I'm a horrific writer well I'm an awesome writer but I write horrific things. So I have had to tone myself down and venture into different prospects of my writing career. I also follow the splinter lands and I post updates and I run my own guild and a lot of things that have to do with splinterlands.
Actually it's because of the splinter lands that I am here with you guys today!!
I've also posted quite a few things about my current location which is going to be changing in a couple of months. I'm going to be moving from Colorado to Florida and I can't wait on this Florida a lot.
There is much more to come from me on the hive I I found homeI this is definitely the place I'm going to be for a long time. Nothing that I would say for any new member of hive is that you never know what you can do until you try and even if you get hit and knocked to the ground you got to get back up and try again you keep trying no matter what and eventually you going to succeed.
I don't know if this will work for your introduction post or whatever the heck kind of posts you needed but this is what you're going to get because yeah I'm feeling like a million dollars right now and I'm pretty proud of who I am.

Hello everyone, although new to the community of Hive, since the beginnings of steem I have been a passive observer. With Hive I decided to test the system and signed up via ecency. I have encountered many problems that demotivate newcomers. I have a list of over 30 bad experiences. (But also a longer list of good experience). Here are 3 examples of bad experiences:

In the case of your community, from the start I followed it and put it in my favorites. It attracted me, by its name (Proofbrain) and by some of its contents.

You are welcome, what in particular are you loving about the POB community? I'd love to hear more from you as it's my favourite community to write in and was one of the first I discovered! I am still finding new communities on the way that I am also falling in love with; where the most amazing people can be found, so I now find myself writing across a broader range of communities, but I still come back to POB all the time.
Personally, Monday's I post Psilocybin-related growth and activism posts, Tuesday's scientific growth methods for different petri dish mediums and growth mediums (continuing) and my daily adventuring! Not too sure if these are entirely within the limits of POB; I also post to #urbex once a week or two, but intend to post more knowledgeable posts in the future initiating elaborate discussions with commentors and those that interact with those posts I make with direct relation to POB. I am enjoying reading through POB and am starting to get a general direction of where I want to go, so I sincerely hope at least one person will find some information I have to spew out, interesting, or entertaining at the least, haha!
hi everyone, it's great to see all the entries coming in. Some truly great comments so far too. Keep them flowing :-) I wanted to take this opportunity to provide a little tip about post tags. When you use tags for your posts, please ensure that you are making optimum use of them by ensuring that they are relevant to your content and to the communities in which you are posting. By using inappropriate tags, you create two issues: 1) you add to the pile of curation for the person who curates that tag and your article will be discarded anyway if it doesn't meet the requirements of the tag (so you waste the time of a fellow Hiver), and 2) you do yourself a disservice on 2 counts: Firstly, you are wasting one of your maximum 10 tags allowed on a post on something that is not relevant to your post and therefore won't earn you optimum curation rewards or exposure. Secondly, you risk creating discord with those who do curate the misused tag, if you continue to use it incorrectly. So before you use a tag, make sure you know what it is for; it's in your own best interests. And I will say, I have misused tags before myself when I first joined, and was called out for it. I had simply copied what others were doing, and I suspect that this may be the case here too ;-) I say these things from a place of deep respect and wanting you all to succeed and be the best you can be on the Hive as well as wanting to keep improving things on the Hive :-) As an example I have seen the misuse of the tag "POB-WOTW" this week on a number of articles about the state of the cryptocurrency market. This tag is the tag used for a weekly contest started by @calumam where a word of the week (WOTW) is given out to the Proof of Brain community (POB) to write an entry in 7 days around that word. If you look up @scholaris (who is managing the contest for a while whilst @calumam takes a break) or @calumam you will see examples of the contest and I would encourage you to follow them both so as to be aware when each contest drops and challenge yourself to enter these weekly contests. They are great opportunities for engagement and growth. 🙏💗
My experience so far
I won't sugar coat it, using the hive Blockchain and it's social media front ends has been a daunting task, you basically have to be ready to study like you were still in college! But overall, it is a wonderful experience, I get to learn something new everyday, and even get paid for just being social and expressing myself.
One of my confusion is the fact that the hive social platforms are not really social, but more of a giant collection of blogs, writers and readers. I believe the word social should include being able to make real friends not just followers, to post about how you feel at the moment or upload a cool photograph you just took without needing to write an epistle along with just so you can garner more upvotes and make money. I don't think I've even seen any community dedicated to connecting those in search of love or a relationship.
I know the hive community is still in its infancy, I'm just hoping that in the future, this concerns of mine would be addressed and hopefully, the social platforms become truly social. Thanks😊
