BEACH LIFE: Alexandra Headland Beach, Sunshine Coast

Today I am starting a new post series that I am calling 'BEACH LIFE'! Our family lives in such an amazing part of the world and I would like to share glimpses of our little slice of paradise with you all.

This morning my wife and I decided to venture to the beach to grab a coffee and some brekkie. When we arrived I was just in awe at how beautiful the beach was this morning. We have had some stormy weather over the last few weeks, so the waves were of a decent size. I just stood for a few minutes to take in the sea air and listen to the sound of the waves.

It was at this point that I thought I need to do this more often, I need to venture out to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast more regularly and really make the most of the beach life that we often take so for granted living in the Sunshine Coast of Australia.

Then it dawned on me that, hey I know a great way to motivate me to get out to the different beaches where we live more regularly, why not write and post about them. That way even when I decide to venture to the beach on my own, I still get to share the experience with the HIVE community and capture the memories in photos and videos that will be preserved into the future on the HIVE platform.

So here we are folks, I am writing my first BEACH LIFE post, but it definitely will not be my last. These posts will share a bit about my experience at the beach in written words, photographs and short videos. That way you get to experience the sites, the sounds and the emotions of the experience. Like all the other posts I do, this series will develop and mature over time. My COIN REVEAL series is my most mature series of posts at this point in time and have garnered a loyal and niche following. My goal for my BEACH LIFE series is similar, so I am open to all suggestions and feedback of what you want to see and read more of in this series.

In this first post, the photos and videos are unedited and posted raw. I thought this would give you the most authentic experience of the various beaches that I visit. I am therefore relying on my words to convey the story and emotions of each beach visit. Let's see how that goes for a while and if I need to tweak and improve things over time.

I will try to take a decent amount of photos for each post, so that you get a real feel for the beach and the surrounding facilities that each beach has to offer. Some beach will have many cafes and restaurants nearby, while other beaches will only be surrounded by natural bush and vegetation. They all have their own charm and character. It will be interesting to see which beaches the HIVE community like more, will it be the popular and developed beaches, or will it be the lesser known and more remote beaches.

I am actually really looking forward to writing the posts for this series as I get to be a tourist again in my own backyard. I get to look at these beaches through a whole new lens, with a fresh perspective. I may even discover beaches that I have never heard of before, or visit beaches that I know by name, but have never visited before. Another bonus is that it wall probably get me out of bed earlier in the morning and get me walking more, I might even start reaching my daily @actifit goal of at least 10,000 steps a day. I have been wanting to post more about my health goals, but I have not been active enough and have not been achieving my goals, so this series might provide an added benefit there too.

Righto, I have made my commitment to you, I have started the series, now I need to make it happen. Stay tuned folks and hopefully you enjoy my BEACH LIFE experiences nearly as much as I do. 😀
