Ice Ice baby!
No, this is not a post about Vanilla Ice, the cool rapper (although that song is still cool!); Ice is the theme for this week's @qurator Photo Quest! And I knew exactly where my quest for ice photos would take me: straigth to the album of my trip to the country that has no ice shortage ever: Iceland!
I visited Iceland in the winter, and although the light hours are reduced, there is still plenty of daytime to admire all the beauties the country has to offer; in fact, for any nature lover Iceland is a must-visit! And what photo to pick for the contest? Now this was the hard choice. Since I like birds a lot... this one won:
A goose overseeing a multitude of species quietly swimming in the unfrozen part of the lake, in central Reykjavik!
Away from the capital, the ice was a lot more common, thow.
Have you ever wondered what would be like being under a glacier? Well, this is one of the sights you could have! This was one of my favourite spots of the whole trip.
Can't remember its name now, and given how icelandic names are, I couldn't probably pronounce the glacier's name back then either! But it sure was an astonishing sight!
A lot more "icey" photos, right? Maybe I should have picked one of these to join this week's quest! Oh well. Participating is what counts! And I get to share some cool photos with you anyway so... mission acomplished! 😉
