Since I am not a Sony photographer, I can say little about the macro. My experience with lenses from Canon Olympus, Sigma and Tamron show me, that they all work on a very high optical level. Here the haptics and the weight are decisive. With a real macro lens you can't really go wrong.
Yeah I need to test it more, but so far I am very happy with it :)
