My Thoughts on A Use Case Tribe With a Future in Sight - Reggaesteem

avatar

Reggaesteem is probably one of my favorite tribal communities on all of steem. Well, reggaesteem, and - @spinvest, of course. The idea behind reggaesteem, as a social media platform, allows users to earn via both content creation and curation. The tribe specifically leverages a boisterous algorithmic points system, known as JAHM, which awards users with real value for the digital rewards earned through market price discovery and liquidity in the form of JAHM payouts. There are so many tribes that have been created with the advent of steem-engine, yet many of the projects are with little to no backbone for support, thus making them as good as any of the shitcoins currently on the market. This is not the case for JAHM, however.

Original Reggaesteem Post - Culture Rewarded

The idea is to take this thing mainstream once 100 million tokens have been distributed amongst early adopters and investors. It's very possible. There are real use cases for JAHM, and the token is actually already being accepted as a form of payment in Negril, Jamaica. I'm not too sure about outside of Negril, but this is where the founders and developers are located. The fact that JAHM is already being accepted as payment speaks volumes about the potential future in store for reggaesteem as a tribal community, an investment opportunity, and a well sought after form of universal basic income for many people around the globe, especially in the host country.

For example, JAHM can already be staked and used to pay for a hotel room at @miyard in Negril. This factor alone already sets JAHM a part from so many of the other tokens that have been created without a real use case in mind. I'm sure there are other places accepting JAHM, but where exactly, I am unsure. I am not in Negril to know this, but I can tell you the guys down there are working closely together through various means to get as many people on board as possible.

Not that many people are posting in various tribal communities. There may be 50-100 active users specific to a tribe - posting, commenting, and curating on a consistent basis. Not that much to not vote, comment and engage. Every post should be upvoted, commented on, and somehow shared amongst the community. Steem-auto, for example, as an easy means to provide continual, consistent posters adding value to the tribe with steady rewards for their valiant efforts.

Let's replace Jamaican J's with JAHM

Reggaesteem is fortunate to have steemians like @crypticat, @shanibeer, and @jk6276. They are all over the place - commenting, curating and promoting the content put out by several reggaesteemians. @crypticat is in charge of the @jahm.whitelist, @shanibeer and @jk6276 have created separate accounts simply for curation efforts, and this is how people come, and - how they stay. The idea is to bring people on, make them happy, such that they stay a part of the close-knit community that is known as reggaesteem.

The community is actively growing, and the community that currently identifies as part of reggaesteem is persistently putting out content to be curated by fellow reggaesteemians. Current ambassadors are looking for more support to help promote the community within, between, and outside the community. As an ambassador, I would do just that. I have traveled to Jamaica before, and this is something I am certainly capable of in the future. I want to see steem succeed, but I also want to see the tribes that have a real chance at amounting to something succeed as well. Reggaesteem being one of those tribes.

If you haven't heard already, @crypticat is running a JAHM Power Up Day (JPUD), which has stemmed directly from STEEM Power Up Day (SPUD). The idea is to power up as much JAHM or STEEM as humanly possible. It doesn't matter if it's 1, 10, 100, or 1,000 - simply power up what you have.

Tomorrow is the day - get ready to power up the JAHM, brah

If you haven't heard of reggaesteem, then check out their page and some of the featured content at the referenced link above. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Keep it JAHMING baby

JAHM is great and it definitely needs more good people engaging and spreading the word.

@whatsthatcryptom made the photo, I accidentally stole it from him. Jahm has zero intention of replacing or competing with the JMD, it is a rewards system for using JAHM tag or ReggaeSteem.

The word needs spread around Negril first and foremost. I’m sure the talks here are becoming long winded. At least, that would be the hope.

Oops, well hopefully our guy @whatsthatcryptom doesn’t mind. If so, I can edit and give credit where credit is due.

JAHM is the way to fly

We are truly grateful to all the Reggaesteem community. Without everyone there would be no Reggaesteem or JAHM. Really love how the community is coming together and building, we really couldn’t do this without the community. The vibes shall continue to grow. Great post man. Blessed love and unity Conrad.

@conradsuperb, I agree with you. Definitely ReggaeSteem Ecosystem came up with something unique and most importantly Team is putting practical efforts to bring value to JAHM Token which is really appreciable aspect and it shows that this Ecosystem have the potential for Adoption towards diversified use cases. Stay blessed.
