My Today's Selection is a video for an Afrobeat, dancehall and reggae song 'Oyi' by Award Winning Nigerian Music Legend Innocent Ujah Idibia A.k.a 2face Idibia who was born on September 18th 1975 in Jos,Plateau State. 2face is a Singer, Entrepreneur and Song writer. He belongs to the category of the most successful Afropop artists in Africa and also most performing. 2face has 8 albums to his credit. He has bagged numerous awards like Four MTV awards, Four Channel O music awards, Five Headies awards, One World Music Award, One MTV Europe Award, One MOBO Award, One Kora Award, 3 Afrima Award, One BET Award and many more. 2face was formally a member of a musical group called Plantashun Boiz. They broke up in 2004 and later reunited to record their last album in 2007. 2face got married in 2012. He was signed to Kennis Music Records after leaving his music group, then he later established his record label Hypertek Records.
The Song Oyi features his brother Hi Idibia and it is a song I like because of the deep presence of Reggae flavour and sense of Afrobeat on the Song.
