“Som Thai” restaurant specializes in Thai cuisine and features a menu divided into the four regions of Thailand. This famous Som Thai restaurant in Vietnam is one of the most aggressively marketed Thai cuisine chains, attracting the attention of many KOLs and food critics who come to eat here, although there are many mixed opinions. I personally find the food quite delicious, suitable for Vietnamese taste. Som Thai is not only a place to enjoy traditional Thai dishes, it also takes you to experience regional Thai dishes. Below are some famous dishes you can find at Som Thai:

Whether you are a fan of traditional Thai cuisine or not, try the dishes here, they are worth a try. The menu at Som Tum in Lotte Tay Ho district is diverse and rich, offering over 80 dishes that combine the fragrant aromas of herbs and various spices, along with carefully selected fresh ingredients every day. The average price for dishes here is only around $2. If you're dining in a group, you can expect to spend about $10 per person.

I ordered a plate of raw shrimp salad marinated with bitter gourd. Honestly, I don't know how to eat raw food, but I was surprised by this raw shrimp salad. The shrimp was crunchy and fresh, not at all fishy, and it was marinated in a special Thai sauce. It was my first time eating raw shrimp, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was.

Next up was the mango sticky rice mixed coconut cream - a famous dessert in Thai cuisine. The sticky rice was soft and chewy, ripe sweet mangoes with fragrant and creamy coconut milk. You can pour some coconut cream on top of the mango sticky rice to enhance its delicious flavor even more. The mixed fried rice was also commendable, with crispy rice grains topped with shrimp and shredded pork, all served in a pineapple. Thai hot and sour hot pot dish includes clams, shrimp, and other flavor enhancing spices such as coriander, hot chili, and lemongrass all added to create a perfect dish.

Another dish that cannot be ignored when talking about Thai cuisine is giant spicy ribs, this dish is so famous that even in Thai movies, we can easily see this dish. The main ingredients of the dish are simmered pork bones and ribs. The ribs are stacked in a bowl, covered with sauce. The sauce is made from bone broth and lemongrass, cilantro, onions and especially chili. The tom yum sauce has a sweet and sour taste and is rich. Hot chili peppers may make you wince the first time you taste it, but it will make you feel excited to eat more. If you can't eat spicy food, ask the staff to reduce the spiciness when ordering.

I quite like the stir-fried noodles with shrimp and bean sprouts, it suits my taste. Fatty noodles served with crispy shrimp, banana flowers and raw bean sprouts, sprinkled with roasted peanuts, don't forget to add lemon juice when eating this dish.

The overall dish is crispy, greasy, fatty from the noodles and fresh from the ingredients such as raw vegetables. In general, don't miss this Thai restaurant. Delicious diverse cuisine and reasonable prices are the factors that help Som Thai attract customers.
