SBD Mooning: Near A Dollar

I went into my wallet on Steempeak and was surprised to see this:

This made me do a double take. I thought it had to be a mistake since SBD was hanging in the 60-70 cent range.

So I looked at Coingecko and found this:

It appears there is a great deal of activity on SBD. Even though the price is off a bit, it is sitting just below the magical $1 level which it is suppose to be pegged.

There were a couple of initiatives to get the price of SBD back to a dollar. It seems the market took care of it, at least temporarily.

A 22% gain is likely to get some attention. This comes about a week after the price of STEEM ran up a great deal in a 24 hour period.

It is good to see some activity. I am not sure what drives it and it could all be a popped followed by a drop. We already saw STEEM move from the 21 cents area down into the 15 cent range.

The same thing might happen to SBD. This is still a token that is not understood by many on Steem let alone the cryptocurrency community in general.
