(Edited)

A spectacular combination of sights and sounds of ocean waves as they gently caressed the shoreline rocks that were illuminated by the setting sun at Grand Bay in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten.

Both of those shots are gorgeous, @ninahaskin! I grew up in an oceanside town, and I completely agree - you can never have too many ocean photos. Your first shot makes me feel like I'm there, enjoying the salty air while the waves crash against the rocks. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us!

Thank you for the sweet compliment!💕

Sounds like the heady scents and soothing sounds of the ocean are positively engrained in your memories forever! What a fun childhood you must have had, being able to enjoy all the seasons by the ocean, playing on the beach whenever you wanted and enjoying unforgettably gorgeous sunrises and sunsets every single day! ⛱🌊⛵

Where did you grow up, and did you learn to fish or any water sports? @traciyork

You're very welcome, Nina! 😊

Yes, the ocean has a special place in my heart. I grew up in a suburb of Gloucester, MA (which most people know from the movie, "The Perfect Storm) called Magnolia (which hardly anyone has heard of...lol). It was an awesome, small town where everyone knew everyone, and while our house wasn't right on the water it was easy walking distance.

I did learn to fish when I was young, but didn't much care for it - I preferred looking for sea glass! 😂 I used to have a fairly decent collection, but the jar got misplaced during one of our moves. However, I'm slowly building up a new one. 😊

Happy Friday and hope you have an amazing weekend! Bright blessings to you!

These are some very fascinating and gorgeous shots. The alluring photo is so peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful. At first glance I thought it was a painting. I love the names you chose for both photos. That unforgettable sky is amazing!

I appreciate the kind words! @crosheille
The clouds overhead looked as though they were orchestrating a symphony that first night and it truly was an unforgettable sight.

What a great idea you gave me to try my hand at painting one of these!
