Kleine Praludien und Intermezzi movement VI | Secrets of Organ Playing week 60

This collection of six pieces are energetic and so much fun to play. They are composed by Hermann Schroeder (1904 - 1984) who uses a neo baroque style in which he combines contemporary harmonic theoretical styles with Baroque compositional techniques. He uses fugue and canon throughout these pieces.

This is again a nice piece of Schroeder. I still have Schroeder's Intermezzo you played a few month ago on my music rack. It takes some time to get used to the idiom he uses (I have very ancient ears... :-) ). But is wel written music.

Oh yes, it is such good music! There are a few pieces that are nust gorgeous, despite the modern compositional style. You like Bach, you will like these. They are a music theory treat!!
