Secrets of Organ Playing Contest week 71 | Ein Feste Burg

I chose this hymn for this week as the scripture is from Acts and discusses how a disciple of Christianity allowed himself to die knowing that he loved and followed Jesus and knew this thought was right for him. In other words, he died for Hesus Christ as a follower of his teachings.

I opened the hymn with a fugue written by Kevin Sadowski. I created my own transition between the introduction and the hymn. I play the hymn as written for the first verse, then i use a last verse arrangement by Hal Hopson. In my hymn playing, I try to change up my playing of the verses to match the text and heighten the worship experience of the congregants. Enjoy 🎹🎶❤
