July 29, 2020--Practice Blog in the time of the virus

A pretty typical day at this point. I spent an hour on the jigsaw puzzle this morning before running across town to practice organ for a couple hours. My wife and I had lunch together. I came home and sat through a webinar before teaching an online piano lesson. A brother passed away last week, and his Masonic funeral was today. As secretary of my lodge, I brought the aprons and gloves for the Craft to wear. Afterwards, I came home (while chatting with my father on the phone--hands-free phone call) and had dinner while watching Nova.

On the organ, I practiced BWV 639, the twelfth movement of Couperin's Mass for the Convents (see recording above), and BWV 536 fugue (working on speeding up).
