May 26, 2020--Practice Blog in the time of the virus

Got quite a bit done today. It began with working on fingering transcription from Secrets of Organ Playing (I was working on Bach's transcription of Vivaldi's A minor concerto for two violins). Got that done and turned in. I grabbed some lunch, took a shower, and went to go practice organ. Afterwards, I stopped by the store for some necessities before coming home and visiting with my dogs. Practiced piano for about an hour while dinner started cooking (we are having ribs tonight). Going to try to get some reading done later.

On the organ, I practiced music for Sunday. Also, worked on the first three movements of Couperin's Mass for the Convents, recorded the fugue on Ein Feste Berg by Georg Kauffmann, tried speeding up the Vierne Finale from the first symphony, and worked on the notes at a slow tempo for BWV 632.

On the piano, I ran through six pieces I have been trying to get memorized: Four Mendelssohn Songs Without Words, Schumann's Kinderscenen No. 1, and Chopin's Mazurka in B-flat Op. 7 no. 1. Also, started memorizing Op. 7 no. 2 and looked at Op. 7 no. 5.
