September 10, 2020--Practice blog in the time of the virus

A full day. I got up this morning to record a portion of a lecture on generalities of the Classical Era in music and the Enlightenment. Had a Doctor's appointment. Came home and practiced organ and recorded a piece for YouTube before having a meeting at 11. Meeting lasted an hour. Got a shower and went into the office. Tuned a piano (not entirely, just A0 to A4--will finish tomorrow) and discussed things with my department head. Came home and practiced piano for an hour before teaching a Zoom lesson on the Invention No. 6 by Bach. Went back to work for a Jazz Band rehearsal. Came home and made hamburgers and fries for dinner. Spending the rest of the evening enjoying British Mysteries on Public Television with my wife.

On the organ, I worked on the first piece from Pierre Du Mage' Premier Livre d' Orgue. Also worked on the Offertory from Couperin's Mass for the Convents.

On the piano, I worked on some pieces for my students and sped up the fourth movement of Beethoven's Op. 27 No. 1.
