September 14, 2020--Practice Blog in the time of the virus

It was a bit surreal today--I didn't get out of pajamas until 4:30 in the afternoon. I was busy most of the day, but had no reason to get out of the house until then. I woke up late this morning and kept the dogs company while my wife got ready for work. After she left, I wrote and recorded to sections of lectures while watching the HBO show The Watchmen. My wife came home for lunch. After lunch I practiced piano for a bit. Got cleaned up and changed and went to work. Practiced organ for a little while before choir rehearsal. Choir rehearsal went well. Came home and had curry for dinner. Practiced a little more organ at home, and now thinking about going to bed.

On the organ, I started work on BWV 599. I also worked on the second Sanctus from the Mass of the Convents by Couperin, sight read through some potential pieces for Sunday's service, worked on the Fugue from Du Mage's Livre d'orgue, and recorded Kauffmann's Prelude on Herzliebster Jesu (see above).

On the piano, I started working again on the Schumann piano concerto and continued to speed up the fourth movement of Beethoven's Op. 27 no. 1.
