Tribes of Europa: A Sci-Fi Netflix series
Among the series that I have enjoyed the past few months of quarantine is a German science-fiction production, Tribes of Europa. A mini-series with only 6 episodes in its first season and a second season still waiting to be announced (fingers crossed it will be).

The plot
Set in 2074, a global disaster has wrecked havoc and made modern Europe unrecognizable. There are no more countries as we know them, there are tribes that are in a constant fight for power. Among these tribes there is one, the Origenes that have been hiding into a safe haven in the woods and thriving with very primitive technology, living in peace with nature. That of course until a mysterious flying vehicle crashes nearby and the wounded pilot trusts the leader's youngest boy with a very precious cube, a piece of extraordinary technology that can change the fate of the world. As soon as word spreads about the crash and the existence of the valuable cube, another vicious and bloodthirsty tribe, the Crows, discover the Oregene settlement and kill almost all of its people. The tribe leader's three children, Liv, Kiano and Elia, survive but get separated. The rest of the season focuses on Liv and Kiano's pursuit to get reunited with their family and Elia's going after a greater cause, bringing the cube to the right place and save the world... kind of.
My thoughts
Interesting scenario, good acting, adventure, family love and a small dose of humor, I have to say Tribes of Europa is another great German production. The producers of Dark (a series I absolutely LOVED), have already made a name of themselves and manage to keep up with the high expectations the audience has for them (ok, Tribes of Europa is not as awesome and mindblowing as Dark, but it's a really decent work that's worth your time if you're into sci-fi shows).
I havent found the reviews so far to be that good.. So didnt bother watching. But your write up is making me rethink if i want to watch it or not. Will it be worthwhile? Like for an actual scifi dork:33
It's pretty good actually. I'm a few episodes in. Enjoying it so far. It's not the usual international blockbuster, but it's definitely an interesting watch.
Nuf said:3 now im motovated enough to watch it:p
It's a good production, like all the other German productions I've watched so far (and they've been quite a few)*. It is a sci-fi fantasy, I think you'll like it...
Sounds interesting, may have to give that a go. Thanks! :)
Hope you like!
