Lakai Footwear Company released a street skateboarding video that was awarded ‘Best Video of the Year’ by the Transworld Skateboarding in 2007.

This inspiring skateboarding video, that took 4 years to produce, was directed by Ty Evans, Spike Jonze and Cory Weincheque.

They had used high-definition cameras to produce better quality skateboarding video which was really rare during those days.

‘Best Street’ and ‘Best Video Part’ were awarded to Guy Mariano during the Transworld Skateboarding Award Ceremony in 2007 at the same time.

Guy Mariano won the TWS award as the street skater of the year in 2007.

It was 13 years ago and the skateboarding culture was really heated further with this amazing video then.

It was one of those videos that portraited the skateboarding culture of professional skateboarding.

Was this skateboarding video that inspired you into skateboarding when you were young?

Hope you enjoy this post about the past skateboarding culture.

One of my all-time favorite videos my friend.
Guy Mariano's part is way more than just a part in this video. He fought his drug addiction, managed to stay clean and film this part at the age of 30+.
He is a true inspiration.

Mike Mo's part is also epic. Well basically the whole video is so dope!
Thanks for sharing man!
Sharing is caring ;)
Much love from Greece

Thanks for your affirmation for this post as I did it out of a sudden inspiration and I have not posted for a while. It is nice that such inspiring skateboarding video is around. Stay away from drug and taking his skateboarding to another level are new info to me. Appreciate your comment and support! May skatehive reach a new height on hive.

You're welcome!

Interesting name and photo. Do you happen to use/sell Color Street nails? We've got our own little business doing it. The picture looks like the ones they sell, but I know there are numerous competitors of them.

I am not using or selling colour street nails. I have my homebased manicure business but currently closed due to Covid-19 lockdown in my country. I am using chemical free gel polish called Angel Pro that I purchased from my nail school. I also use stickers if customers do not need me to draw and design. I am also starting to try out other brand of nail polish in recent years for my customers.
