"Faust by Faust"(1971)

"Faust" (released in 1971) is the name of the debut album of the German band, Faust. The group was founded in 1971, under the support of producer and journalist Uwe Nettelbeck. Faust's musical style is within the coordinates of the Krautrock movement, being together with Can, one of the most emblematic and representative bands of the genre. The sound of the band is structured based on pastiches of various musical ideas (psychedelia, jazz, hard rock, acoustic passages, Floydian environments): such pastiches are armed with a false sense of chaos, which serves to create an openly disjointed style, humorous and "schizophrenic" ...=)
