Sept. 16, 20: Discord, Xbox, Teaching Calculus, a Movie, and Games
I seem to be on a pretty regular pattern at this point, basically nine to six every day. Unfortunately, this has been leaving me half an hour short each day, and it’s really adding up. 😢
Once again, not at all motivated to get out and go for a walk...not good. I did the usual morning routine with not much to note. BTC still rising toward resistance, but alts took a beating today.
HIVE hitting even lower lows...thinking of buying more and then I think about how Steem/Hive has done nothing but decline for the past two years...why am I so enamored with a clear shitcoin? 🤷♂️ I have the strong feeling that my faith in this chain is going to leave me holding bags. Too late, I suppose, already way overexposed.
Spent some time chatting over on Discord. Learned about d.buzz for the first time and was appalled to find 16 word shitposts making a dollar on chain. 😡
It did get me thinking, though, that a censorship resistant Twitter really would be a good idea, provided it wasn’t spamming the chain and raping the rewards pool...turns out I have a connection who has already built most of it already; just needs some attention and TLC!!!!
I’m a little hesitant to start jumping into a new project, since I never seem to get any of them done, but then again, the more shit you throw at the wall, the more will stick. Sadly, buzzy.com was already taken. 😢 Got to think of a sweet name and get a domain...then learn CSS and hive-engine.js and...
In the afternoon I played some more de Blob 2 on Xbox. Turns out there was another level after the last one. I played the last level (I’m sure this time) through but only had 32 seconds to fight the last boss, which wasn’t going to happen, so I had to start it over again. 😭 Luckily, at least the super hard collectibles get saved as being collected, so I didn’t have to waste as much time looking around for them on the next go round.
Almost defeated the last boss, but I had to quit to get ready to teach. Met with my Calculus class for the second time. Not too many people asking questions, but did hit a couple. Otherwise, I showed them the properties of limits and we spent some time finding a few of them. Need to get going on making their first exam here right away.
No pics or maps or anything for the day, which I always hate to say, but I was pretty close to the daily step goal once I finished up with teaching. Only had like a thousand steps or so to go, so I didn’t bother firing up the Fitbit, just played Splinterlands and then laid down for bedtime.
Amazingly, I didn’t pass out right away and we watched How to Train Your Dragon 2. I have to give it two eyes open, it kept me awake the whole time. Great animation, fun plot, and a few laughs here and there. 😄
Hooray! my friggin’ Shopping Mall got robbed again. It’s pretty much endless crime nowadays, guess it’s going to be a while before I can do anything about it, since they keep taking my income! 🤬
Got all my Holybread tasks done for today. 🤩 It was time to refill potions and repair items, so I got that done and had about eight million gold left to put into stats.
Got a couple key wins, though, and busted back up into the top ten! 💪
My brew finished up on CryptoBrewmaster and I sold it out right quick. My balance keeps increasing, but my rank keeps falling. I don’t get it.
I had three wins without neutral monsters for my Splinterlands quest today. It was slightly better than yesterday, but still not worth the time or trouble.
I got the quest done in fu$&ing Diamond III with a potion. If the rewards were worthless before, now I’m getting even less:
To be honest, at this point, the only reason I continue to “play” is that it comprises this whole section of my post every day...that and the money I’ve put in, but I could probably sell out and get most, if not all of that back...considering. 🤔

"nice post" Ooooooh I feel you on some of your astute observations, I bought a few thousand hive when it was low the other day but then sorta have worries but that's with literally everything so I try to just find new angles , like doing /slated to do a podcast and get my own communities and some code stuff I was working on up and going but real life comes first and have been on WAY too much lately , lol...... thank you SIR for the support on my post I appreciate it and am doing a new series about Toxic Femininity and will probably talk about it on a podcast at some point, anyhow, curtsies and say thank you Sir, dapper AF pic at the bottom!
