A good start to Monday morning is what sets up the theme for the week. Not that we can’t be high and running every single day, but a week well started is as good as a week well completed. At least, that’s my theory.
So, I have a lot to achieve today, but nothing beats a good physical activity session in the morning. While I focused on spiritual and mental fitness over the last few days, I got on with the physical aspect today.
The morning was cool today as it had rained about a couple of hours before my regular running time. Although there were patches of wet road, it was by far good enough for a run. I could always decide to walk instead of run if the road was too wet.
But as luck would have it, the road had indeed dried up on the highway. All the vehicles had done their bit in drying the road. 😊. I walked about a kilometer before running two kilometers. I used the flyovers on the way to increase the resistance to my run. It was awesome, and I felt a great workout in the process. Once I reached the finish line, I walked about half a kilometer or so to cool myself down before reaching home.
I felt good overall, and it was a satisfying day. It was International Yoga Day just a day back, so maybe tomorrow I will focus on meditation and yoga. 😊
That’s it from me for today. I will see you all tomorrow.
Did You Know?
Dana Glowacka holds the record for the longest abdominal plank for the lady's version. She had reportedly taken the help of George Wood (the male record-holder) to prepare for the plank conquest.
The female Guinness World Record for the longest plank stands at 4 hours 19 minutes and 55 seconds.
Here is the video of Dana achieving the record:
Wow! Just wow! 😊
