Raising up my Death Stars: Pun Intended

Pun intended....

I am never well associate with Death...

But this is different in the case of splinterlands. Apparently, one of my strongest game play deck is using the death decks; and half of the time I hardly have any of my own.

And then... realising where my current strength lies (can't believe mine is death) I have decided to invest on the 3 most used cards that I can afford to call it my own.

I was a bit relieved that they are not extremely expensive; otherwise it will really take a while for me to save up enough for the game as I didn't want to touch my main account's STEEM too often so that I can pay my bills and save up some for Steem Fest 5... If I get to go.

(I am hoping to see everyone again!)

And thanks to the aid of other tribe tokens, I sold some to @dses the tokens it support in exchange for some STEEMP for DEC conversion, and so here I am, trying to scramble every "cent" I have earned and got these for keeps.

Was my investment worth while?

Just so happened that after a slaughter yesterday, today's quest was based on the Death element. And with the help of Darlia a little and Marlic when I do not feel confident to slash out my Death decks with the help of some Neutral muscle cards I didn't have too much of blood shed on my side.

That Saved me quite a lot of time as you can see I finished my quest about an hour or 2 (having in between breaks as well)

And I can resume my more important tasks in the real world.

(Including writing this sharing during my "lunch break" of waiting on my office server)

Verdict?

Definitely. When you start to realise which are your more favourite cards, you got to start saving up some hard earned tokens and cryptos and get them beefed up, before you are slaughtered further into the season.

Saving my strength

While this time I purchased solely using DEC, I actually had to spread out my battle quest often times up to 2 days when I am busy just so that I can be sure my account has enough energy to earn DEC on a winning battle.

The moment I start to realise I am on a bloodbath journey, I have to log out and take a breather for my account, before I send those cards into another heartless battlefield.

However

I have recently noticed one particular card that has been popping up fairly regularly on the Life element and whenever that card appears, none of my cards (even leveled up) will be able to defeat the opposition team, even though the team is in level 1.

Fallen Specter_lv1.png

Same as the Fallen Specter it costs a little more than I could afford right now; but if I ever have to rise up my Life decks, I think that would be one of those cards I have to really save up to acquire one... because it is not a reward card!

And at the moment... I am not able to acquire one outside the crypto space since I have spent all my paycheck paying up bills and helping my mom to prep up for Chinese New Year.

Guess I better steem on (pun intended) and probably working more offline than always be in the quest games.

Oh well...

haha. Technically this is investment indulgence. I do hope that there will be good returns in the future. 😅

Don’t forget to upgrade your summoners every now and again. But I think in terms of card rentals, so I have cards at different levels because people don’t just want the max level cards. Sometimes they want level 3 cards. I do need to make some of them cheaper though.

Yeah, that is what I am aiming for. Offering affordable rentals for beginners for a season and then let them get the hang of it. LOL.

I am still figuring out how to rent them out. Is it from peakmonsters?

As for summoners... they are so expensive haha... gonna try to level them up when I have more DEC, but right now I have 2 level 2 summoners so I am going to concentrate to get my favourite cards at least at level 3 (especially the common ones) so that I can maximise their potential.

Thanks for the tips!

I have found peakmonsters to be the easiest method because it shows you the price of other rentals. But when you select a card from your collection from the main Splinterlands site, you have the option to “lease card”.
