Gelatinous Cube Yes, This week splinterland's weekly challenge theme is Gelatinous Cube. If you are a die-hard fan of splinterlands and you are playing this game then I'd say y'all should participate in this weekly challenge. This challenge is a great way to observe and learn more about different cards. I'd say it is a great initiative by splinterlands I try my level best to watch all the battles of the entrants. This way you get to learn the different strategies.

If you are a splinterlands player and interested in participating this week challenge then there is a Post link of this challenge.SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

Challenge is getting harder day by day. There are so many people sharing their battles so for this you have to be creative and innovative with your battle. I try to add up some spices in my post and try to share some interesting facts about the challenge theme.

More about Gelatinous Cube

The way it looks like I suppose it belongs to ooze family this is why I named it Gelatinous ooze in the title. We all splintertarian's know that it is a transparent cube of Gelatinous. You can say another fictional monster of splinterlands game. Gelatinous Cube has the ability to absorb organic matter. It is a Neutral monster and its rarity is common. Currently, it is trading at 0.03$.

Abilities

Gelatinous Cube has three awesome abilities such as scavenger, Heal and Void.

Scavenger

Scavenger ability is one of the best abilities. It gains 1 max health each time any monster dies. Either that monster is from your own team or your opponent. This is the beauty of this ability and that ability makes Gelatinous Cube more special.

Heal ability helps the monster to restore the portion of life each round. And have you noticed how much life portion Gelatinous Cube restores? It is 3. yes a great heal portion.

Void ability reduces the magic attack. So what else you need from one monster? I guess Gelatinous Cube has enough cool abilities that make it worth more.

My battle Using Gelatinous Cube

Ruleset of the battle

Screenshot_134.png

I was given Earthquake(Where non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round) and Even Stevens(I was allowed to use only even mana cost monsters.) along with 32 Mana cap.

My opinion about this ruleset

Even Stevens is still better you always have plenty of choices with even mana cost but I don't like this earthquake rule. Because if the dragon splinter is not on then you are in trouble. But then this is where GELATINOUS CUBE helps you.

My lineup

As you can see in the ruleset screenshot only 2 elements fire and life were on for this battle so I decided to go with Life element because of its armour strength. Yes, armour strength always helps you in earthquake rule. My opponent was vndragon and he came up with same element. You can see his cards were more powerful than mine but still I won this battle because of the perfect usage of GELATINOUS CUBE.

CHAIN GOLEM

I used CHAIN GOLEM in the first place. Level 3 and 8 mana chain golem was perfect for the first place. I used it because of Shield, Void and piercing ability. Although it has slow speed yet it has a strong melee attack.

PRISMATIC ENERGY

I used Level 6 PRISMATIC ENERGY in the second place. My Prismatic energy is level 8 but my level 6 Tyru palladium couldn't summon its maxed level. Purpose of using her in the second place is to avoid much magic reflect. She also has void ability along with magic reflect.

GELATINOUS CUBE

At third place, I used the GELATINOUS CUBE. 6 mana monster and the theme of the week. I already mentioned its all abilities up there so purpose of using GELATINOUS CUBE in the third-place just to gain life.

PEACEBRINGER

I used PEACEBRINGER in the fourth position. This 4 mana monster doesn't have any ability but it has awesome speed along with a great ranged attack. This is why I used it.

COCATRICE

I used COCATRICE in the fifth position. Ok, to be honest, I made a mistake here when the rule was even-steven then there was no chance of sneak attack I should have used COCATRICE in the first position then chicken then chain golem and so on. It could help a lot and my Cube could gain more life. Anyways you learn from your mistakes so I learned something from my own battle.

FURIOUS CHICKEN
I used FURIOUS CHICKEN in the last position. It always helps in saving up some opponent attacks. But here I used it in the wrong place :P XD

Will I Use GELATINOUS CUBE again?

Yes, obviously I am upgrading it to the max for a reason. And this card is indeed helpful in earthquake ruleset.

Did my strategy work out?

Clearly, I won against pretty much good deck so yep 100% my strategy worked out.

Eek! That was painful to watch... for your enemy.
You were very closely matched. I think putting the Cube further back really gave it a chance to build up life (from Earthquake).

Honestly, after the Cube ate it, I couldn't believe that you were gonna win... except for that ruleset. It's a beast.

Great post! Thank you for always going above and beyond. I really enjoy reading your publications.

Oh! I'll be back in a few hours to upvote with steemmonsters. I'm letting the VP rise a bit.
