March SPUD and Guess where I went contest

February was a quiet month for me, I only posted 16 posts, which is around 1 every 2 days, much less than my normal output. That was due to various reasons. First, for a reason that has impacted pretty much everyone around the world now. The Wuhan Virus hit Taiwan heavily at the end of January. I stayed in most of the time, not worrying about the virus so much, but just wasn't in the mood to write. Fed up that we had been thrown into shit unnecessarily.

Then I went to Singapore for a few days and I don't post much when I'm travelling. You've probably seen me posting about some of the places I went to at Singapore. Here's one place I haven't posted yet. This photo was taken on the 55th of the Marina Sands Hotel. Isn't the night view stunning? Nearly as beautiful as Hong Kong 😉

SPUD 11

Back to SPUD because it's the 1st of the month. Given the Tron investment in February, and quite a lot of people powering down, I wasn't sure if there would be less people SPUDing this month. In fact, I did momentarily consider if I should do it myself this month. Then I thought, Steem has always been a big social experiment for me. I haven't invested, nor have I withdrawn, so why should I start now? With that in mind, I powered up 554.284 Steem earlier this evening and am now sitting at 21k SP, a 5% increase from my 20k on 1st of February.

Actually I just checked the #spud tag and there is a healthy volume of posts there. It's great that a lot of people still have confidence in Steem. And to remind everyone, I've continued to sponsor a 10 SP giveaway to one random SPUD participant this month, so make sure you get your SPUD post out.

SPUD GUESSING CONTEST

As an added incentive for people to SPUD, and because I had so much fun hosting a guessing contest last month, I've decided to do another one this month.

I mentioned I went to Singapore in February. After Singapore, I went to another country and visited one of the most spectacular places I've seen. Isn't it beautiful?

Can't see the photo properly? That's because this my contest this month. This place is one of the, if not the most famous landmark in the country I visited after Singapore. Which country do you think I went? I've edited this image for this place so I don't think you can Google reverse image it. But I will give you some clues of course.

The first clue, you can probably recognise what type of building this is. This will help you narrow down the country. The second clue, this place is famous for many things, including its carpet. And thirdly, it has an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for possessing an item being the largest in the world (see previous hint...). And finally, if you're not sure or want to validate your answer, there's a fourth clue. This place has been pinned on the Steemitworldmap 3 times. If you want to double check your answer, you can go into https://steemitworldmap.com/ to find that place, and you will see how many posts there are. If your guess it correct, then you will know the country I went to.

For example, here's one post on the Steemitworldmap for the British Museum in London, UK. You should see three posts like this if you identify the right place.

PRIZE AND DEADLINE

This month's contest is a little bit more difficult than last month, but I'm sure you guys can work it out if you look at my clues carefully. I'm going to increase the prize to 10 Steem for the person who guesses the correct country that this place is located in. And if there are more than 1 correct answer, I will do a draw. You can only guess once and only your first answer counts so don't go changing your answer when you think someone else has made a good guess!!! AND, if the winner did a SPUD post today I will give away another 5 Steem. So that's potentially 15 Steem for the winner.
