Star Trek Picard

This is… amazing. Picard is coming back

I grew up loving reruns of the original series, the movies, and Next Generation. At the time, I suppose I was a Trekkie. But I would use the word was, because I haven’t really enjoyed any Star Trek since TNG ended. DS9 had moments of greatness, and Avery Brooks was undoubtedly a fantastic commander/captain, but overall it didn’t capture me. None of the other series have appealed to me, including Discovery. And the JJ films… the less said, the better. I maintain they were action movies, with little actual Star Trek about them except the names and desperate appeals to nostalgia.

But this… this looks good. Now as we all know, they can give us amazing trailers for pretty much anything. Even the poorest show has at least a few minutes of quality that can be combined and crafted into a good trailer. So we shall see.
