The Day Before The Fork...

Tomorrow is Fork Day and with less than 24 hours remaining before the fork, the anticipation is growing some are nervous, some are excited, some are mad.

Here are some things to keep in mind..

The first results we see after the fork do not include any changes in behavior if we get them.

In the past, some forks have created a few issues and SteemIt Inc and Witnesses work together troubleshooting and finding solutions. I am not saying there will be problems, but remember if there are issues, a lot of people have a vested interest in getting things up and running.

In the past the exchanges tend to go down and remain down for a bit after the fork so if you have a transfer to make, consider getting it done before the fork.

Outside of that, I am looking forward to this fork being behind us, I am excited to see so many people embracing the NewSteem attitude. If we change the behavior and the culture we have truly changed the future of Steem.

*it's only the end of Steem Version 20

Forward and onward!

Cheers

I'm really not sure this is going to achieve what people say it will (positive or negative). I remember the same hype last time (RCs were going to change the world). I'm hyped about steem, but it's not the HF that is getting me excited it's all the energy from tribes etc.

Yeah, it remains to be seen. I honestly think a culture change will make a bigger difference than playing with the math.

I don’t know if I’m just an eternal optimist but I’m always keen on changes we either learn what not to do or improve so it’s never a waste! One day we’re goin to have HF50 and sit back and think how crazy the previous 49 were

Yeah, I'm not so sure. I worked for the health service in the UK (it was constantly being reorganised and messed around with) and on the wall of the office where I worked was this quote written 2000 years before
“We trained hard—but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams we were reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing, and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while actually producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.”

Doing all my voting tonight for tomorrow and will be checking back in two days, hah. Then I can entertain myself with all the frothing at the mouth and I told you so posts. Then I can get to seeing how the new vote weights affect the smaller blogs I support/appreciate.

I heard there is this thing called outside, so I may look into that tomorrow night after work while they work on any kinks.

I spent all weekend outside, It was a nice change.

I am also concerned about the small accounts. Time will tell.

Can you make more her e than you can make elsewhere? For me the answer continues to be yes. For many others this is also likely true. The line in the sand is... How many will not make anything? I don't pretend to know.

Since I still enjoy many elements of steem I will likely keep posting.

20 steem "limit" that was mentioned on steemitblog is not really in alignment with the main goal of onboarding. sometimes i feel they are making decisions like this
