Arrived in Bangkok & Met Up With My Roommate ....

Hi Everyone,

After a 9 hour flight, I am finally in Bangkok. It was a bit of a rocky flight and I got a bit plane sick (haven't had that for ages) but we landed safely. I flew with Qantas this time and the experience was average (more on that for another day). Once I landed, the heat hit my face. Custom was slow but eventually, got to the other side in after 20 minutes. My bag was waiting for me at belt 22. My roommate also arrived by that time ... @livinguktaiwan will be my roommate for the next few days :)

After we came out to the arrival hall, I went to exchange some money. I decided not to use the ATM as it would cost me $11AUD just to get some money out. A bit steep in my opinion. I then walked over to gate B to get @livinguktaiwan and we are off to the take the train to the city. Before boarding the train, we need to pick up our prepaid sim cards from Klook. We also did a quick pit stop to get a bit of a snack as I was starving. After our train and taxi ride, we finally arrived at our hotel.

坐了9個小時的飛機終於到泰國. 剛剛好跟 @livinguktaiwan 會合就一起去發到酒店. 去酒店之前要換錢，拿電話 sim 卡還有買點東西吃. 過了一個多小時就來到酒店，終於可以休息.

Aaah you are such pro travellers, I didn't know about KLOOK or anything like that :D

Seems like your journey was average with Qantas :O I have had average services with them too, so I'm not surprised :3

Looking forward to seeing SF and Bangkok from your eyes, for sure :)

haha actually I only knew about Klook from LUT who saw it in the Telegram group. I was just either going to rock up and get something at the airport or use my voda roaming which wasn't too bad to begin with at $5 for the full day. Oh qantas will def be a different blog. I think domestic they are ok, but international really isn't up to the usual standard .... i guess this was the best choice though considering i redeemed my tickets this time through qff.
