Learning To Teach

Modern teachers cannot depend on only one teaching style but they need to adopt and adapt a varieties of teaching and facilitating styles to cater effectively to the learning needs of different students.

Danny Salemie had to learn how he could guide and teach students who have visual impairment when he went to Maryland School for the Blind.

The need to learn how his students can learn and how he can lead them to experience learning would enable his students with visual impairment to acquire learning independently.

It is not about giving knowledge but providing suitable experience that leads to formation of understanding and internalising concepts.

Normal kids would be able to learn how learning from experience can really happen even for those who cannot depend on their sight.
