Shortness of breath while running

Hello Steemian
Last Sunday afternoon we went to the field. Suddenly my children took a run.
"Let's race, Daddy," challenged the eldest.
"I don't want to," I replied.
"Dad, prove that you used to run."
I think it's good to also obey their wishes. Finally I joined the race. Of course I realized that I would definitely be inferior to my eldest son who was still young. After a very long time not running and then forced to run fast it feels very tired. Arriving at the stop, my breathing was breathless. Finally I must admit my age can not cheat physical abilities. Lose quickly from running the Eldest.
Seeing me panting the youngest asked.
"Why after running for breath my father is breathing hard?"
still in a state of panting, I took my two children to drink first.
"Let's find a drink first, then I'll explain."

Oxygen Needs

Every human activity requires energy. The more severe or the more activities carried out, the more energy is needed.
In biology it is explained that to produce energy many humans do the process of burning calories in the body. To burn calories, humans need oxygen.

People who do heavy activities, such as exercising with long distance running (marathon), sprints will require a lot of oxygen. This is because this activity requires a lot of energy. To produce the energy used catabolism is needed. In the catabolism of carbohydrate compounds in the body become carbon dioxide and water is also energy.
To produce energy, initially sugar or glucose from carbohydrates in the blood is changed through a process called "glycolysis", where glucose is broken down into substances called pyruvates. If the body has a lot of oxygen, pyruvate will be further processed through aerobic respiration (with oxygen) to be broken down again to get more energy.
In the process of this catabolism, oxygen is needed.
As energy needs get bigger, more oxygen must be taken from the air. This causes the frequency of breathing to increase. As a result, when running or other strenuous activities our breath will be breathless.

How to resolve

So that we are not heavy breathing activities here are some tips that can be done.
1. Warming up
Warming enough will make the body more ready to do strenuous sports activities. In addition to avoiding warm-up injuries, it is also good to keep breathing so that you don't pant.

2. Exercise routine
Familiarizing activities on a regular basis allows the body to accept activities easily. We will feel very tired when Ali starts running. but with care, the body gets used.

3. Don't force yourself
when the body is not strong, don't force it to continue. this will prevent us from panting. If running is not strong we can choose to slow down or while walking.

4. Set the speed
With the speed regulation, we can regulate the breath both with the mouth and nose. Of course breathing through the nose is better because the incoming air is filtered in the nose.
Thus my writing this time may be useful for all of us

Thank you for reading my post. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi again @rokhani

Can I ask you for little favour? I joined contest called "Community of the week" with project I manage and I would be grateful if you could RESTEEM it and help me get some exposure and drop some encouraging comment :)

Link to my post: on steemit or on steempeak

Thanks :)
Yours, Piotr
