El próximo martes 14 de enero, se realizará la Visita 164 de la patrona sentimental de los larenses a la ciudad de Barquisimeto. La imagen de la Divina Pastora, advocación mariana cuyos orígenes se remontan a la ciudad española de Sevilla a principios del Siglo XVIII, y que llegara a suelo venezolano en 1736; saldrá en procesión ese día, como lo hace todos los años de forma ininterrumpida desde 1856, en hombros de la feligresía de la Basílica Menor de Santa Rosa de Lima, ubicada en la vecina población de Santa Rosa, hasta la Catedral Metropolitana de Barquisimeto, en un recorrido de alrededor de 7, 5 kilómetros, acompañada de una multitud de fieles que supera las 3 millones de almas, lo que la convierte en la segunda manifestación mariana mas grande del mundo, sólo superada por la de la Virgen de Guadalupe en la Ciudad de México.

En esta oportunidad, la imagen lucirá un vestido donado por los Hermanos de La Salle, que presenta una capa tipo vitral en colores blanco, negro y dorado, con escenas del Papa León XIII y de la vida de San Juan Bautista de La Salle, fundador de la congregación educadora, además de las banderas de Venezuela y Francia, ésta última, correspondiente al país de origen de los hermanos lasallistas.

En la parte frontal del vestido, no visible en la fotografía, se encuentra un ancla, símbolo de la esperanza, una de las tres virtudes teologales, junto a la cruz, símbolo de la fe, y el corazón que representa al amor.

Esta imagen que tomé recientemente, para posteriormente modificarla haciendo uso de la aplicación PicsArt, empleando una superposición de filtros, comenzando con un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la imagen original, y posteriormente un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro, un procedimiento que ya he usado con anterioridad en otras publicaciones.

This time, the image will wear a dress donated by the Brothers of La Salle, which presents a stained glass layer in white, black and gold, with scenes of the Pope Leon XIII and the life of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, founder of the educating congregation, in addition to the flags of Venezuela and France, the latter, corresponding to the country of origin of the Lasallian brothers.

On the front of the dress, not visible in the photograph, is an anchor, a symbol of hope, one of the three theological virtues, next to the cross, a symbol of faith, and the heart that represents love.

This image that I took recently, to later modify it using the PicsArt application, using a filter overlay, starting with a filter of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) type in order to expand the tones of the original image, and then a simple Black & White filter, a procedure that I have used previously in other publications.
