My ArtVenture: Pastel portrait „Mr. Speaker –John Bercow“ or Mr. “Order!”

Hello dear Steemians,

As many of you living in stable in both political and economical country we do not care much about the sittings of our Government and we sometimes do not know much what rules and regulations are made unless they somehow involves us directly.

So we were until Brexit time, coming from Germany the political scene and parties are different, in the past I had no idea how it is running in Westminster and who is Mr. Speaker until very recent turbid events. Slowly but surely we learnt a lot and especially in such hot situation there is obvious how politician using all methods to steer the mood of people and their decision. Even sometimes if they have to lie and behave themselves like children in kindergarden. I am glad that there is a Speaker who is the senior person who is controlling all this chaos.

Current Mr. Speaker is John Bercow and I believe recently he is well know everywhere due to two things:

Because of his various way of calling for “Order” and because of his really wise and respectful expressions in any difficult situations. He belongs to conservative party but very popular among opposition too, therefore was elected and re-elected multiple times and remained a Speaker for 10 years.
Because he announced to leave his post by 31 of October 2019, again seeing the videos in youtube you may noticed how the opposition supports him but not his own party, that is really a shame.

My today’s attempt to draw Mr. Speaker and also I am attaching little link to the video about his for those who never heard about Mr. John Bercow:

I cannot say that i know him but i really enjoy the video. It looks like good british comedy,lol. Brexit is a very serious event, it will effect all of the global economy and so far i am seeing being treated as a joke. Both from the side of England and from the side of EE. I hope order and not chaos win in the end:)

Agree with you George, many hope for the best, nobody knows what is going to happen. Actually I have to apply for Indefinite leave to remain permission, if it will be no-deal case then we have to have such ID as European.

I must say it is right that British parliament nowadays looks like comedy show, nevertheless htere are many good politician who really deserve support too.

Politicians sometimes use their power against the wishes of the masses which is very bad.

Your first paragraph is related to art work am currently working on for the CryptoArt contest.

The pastel work is really amazy. Giving it a brownish background to reveal his gray hairs.

Great pastel portrait. Thank goodness for John Bercow. He’s very democratic and pro European unlike the current British Govt 💭.
