Short story | Historia Corta | Fulgor

The wind beat hard, the storm worsened at dusk, the lifeless bodies were scattered in shadows in front of the fire.

Shapes that fade with each event.

I watched as the shadows devoured the villagers, friends, family, everything, but I couldn't stop. In the cave a boat was waiting for me, perhaps the last one capable of stopping all this.

My eyes furrowed the sky, I saw those red eyes in the darkness full of fury. The winged creature pushed itself higher and higher, preparing its breath, emitting a glow from its muzzle, then a silence followed by an unparalleled explosion.

I woke up in the distance, the sun was shining and burning my face. In the distance there was nothing, everything I once knew is gone.

Fulgor

El viento golpeaba fuerte, la tormenta arreciaba el anochecer, los cuerpos sin vida se esparcía haciendo sombras frente al fuego.
Formas que se desdibujan con cada acontecer.

Observé como las sombras devoraban a los pueblerinos, amigos, familia, todo, pero no podía detenerme. En la caverna me esperaba un bote, era quizás la última capaz de detener todo esto.

Mis ojos surcaron el cielo, vi aquellos ojos rojos en la oscuridad llenos de furia. La criatura alada se impulso cada vez mas alto, preparando su aliento, emitiendo un fulgor de su hocico, luego un silencio seguido de una explosión sinigual.

Desperté a lo lejos, el sol brillaba y quemaba mi rostro. En la distancia ya no había nada, todo lo que alguna vez conocí ya no está.
