Sublime Sunday......

What a week.......

For those of you that have been following my posts this week. You know that Monday night and Tuesday we had a hurricane/tropical storm come through the northeast.

Around 1:30 in the afternoon Tuesday a tree came down on the only road for several of our community streets to get out of. Not only did it block the road, but it also took down the power lines.

And this was a tree from my neighbors yard. Luckily it didn’t hit anything.

It did land in the road, but the town came and moved it fairly quickly.

I along with over 500 homes in my town were without power.

Luckily late last night around 11:00pm, our power was restored.

Thank god....

While I do have a generator the only thing it kept running were my two refrigerators and charging our phones.

A heat wave is coming through starting today, luckily my A/C will now be working.

That’s my week in a nutshell......

Wow! Look at those trees!!

I used to live in Alabama and had to deal with tornadoes and their aftermath more than once.

I hope you're able to get back to normal life soon!

No tornadoes for me thanks. My buddy lives in Iowa and has sent me videos of them. No thanks this was bad enough

Yeah, not fun! We lived on the southern edge of Tornado Alley and saw them and ice storms frequently growing up!

Now that I have moved to the desert, I miss weather, even if it ends up being a storm. I almost throw a party when there are clouds in the sky!

That is a really strong power a hurrican has. Look at those trees 😲 reminds me of a storm we had here about 5 years ago when trees were falling like sticks and it was many houses and cars that was crushed.
Just happy you are safe and that shows how strong Mother nature is.

Stay safe and much love to You my sweet friend 🤗❤️🤗

It was barely a category 1 hurricane. But what damage it did.

Thanks my friend

oh hurricane is always awful! Destruction, danger, unforeseen circumstances ... I really do not like hurricanes, they are also not uncommon here.
I am glad that you are doing well and quickly recovered!

WOW... I am glad that you are safe. I have not experienced a hurricane in my life, and I can only imagine the devastation and hardships that people go through in such a situation. The common disaster her in California are fires and earthquakes.
Two refrigerators is common for many homes, isn't it... and a chest freezer too in the garage... you forgot to mention that (or don't you have one? Unbelievable, LOL!!! ) What a week for you, bestie! I don't have a generator... I must save up for one!
I am glad that the power is finally back, bestie. Take care 🥰🌺🤙

You’re lucky they suck. No chest freezer, not a big fan of frozen items. Thanks for the comments.🤗🥰
