Happy are those - Sunshine and Happiness

It’s hard to accept as true, those summer days are numbered and few. Time lingers - for not a soul. I still hold on, I won’t let go. Then again, there is that Thursday thing going on too., leading me straight into the weekend, almost — at rolling over in clover.

A golden ray of sunshine - those are the kind of days that are sure to make a memory.

This post is dedicated to #SunThursday by @Uwelang because even though the sun isn't showing, it is shining down in all of its glory.

You can always find a little beauty despite the things in your life, true? "Every rose has its thorns" — at the garden of life.

Happy are those that rain sunshine down upon another. To grow and feel encouraged by those around us— at the corner of happiness and sunshine.

Flowers. There must always be flowers. Because they color my world, every single day.

I am sure that everyone is a veteran of blowing bubbles. It is remarkable that something so simple can bring so much happiness - to so many people. It doesn't discriminate against sex, race or religion. There are streams of laughter; people have fun blowing bubbles and trying to catch them.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

I got to say I really really like the look of the wet flowers. Kind of sums up so many things. Like there is no total perfection in life. Like you say every rose has it thorns, just try to find the ones with the less thorns lol. But, after all, they are beautiful in spite of being wet. Rain or shine, I wish you a truly happy day!!

We have really been fortunate to not have rain except perhaps for a little bit at night. So every morning everything is covered with rain or pork chops however you want to look at it. I think it looks really really beautiful and yes! Perfection is so overrated.

Denise, you are a pro in taking flower pictures!!! It's just "wow!" The way you captured them is as if they were smiling, waving, and speaking. How did you do that @dswigle?!?

thank you for your most wonderful thoughts! Well most of my pictures are not really good oh, I think that a times they strike them a note with a person and there is something that they find delightful in them, which I am always very grateful for.

I actually did not keep up with all of the Shadow contest but I will have to look and see if this falls into any category. I miss so many good contest because I just don't have the time but I do enjoy looking at all the participants in seeing photography that they have. She's had some pretty unusual subjects but everybody seems to be able to find things to put into the contest. That's a great challenge.

Yeah, I think one could never go wrong with flower pictures, maybe because they are already pretty themselves! Hahaha! 😂

Every week shadow photo has a different theme. I guess that makes it more fun. Usually, I come to see the theme, and see if I can come up with something fun too. Then I come back later for my post. Hehehe. 😂

These contests makes me thrive in the platform since I do not have a support system. And it also gives me thrill on participating.

Anyhow, as long as one is having fun and abiding the rules--no plagiarism, then it's acceptable. 😊

Delightful images so beautiful, yes I am seeing signs in some trees and flowers that summer is coming to an end, but summer is hanging on at the moment some hot and humid days this week, I hope it hangs on for a bit I do love Autumn colors but they last so short so I am in no rush for them yet

The reason I asked is because on previous occasions I have exuberantly congratulated people on their fine poetic creations only for them to inform me that it was Wordsworth. I suspected it was yours, though.

The style is familiar, like some famous Victorian poet, but I can't put my finger on exactly who. The Victorian poets were big into writing about Nature.

In any event, I really like it. It flows nicely. "

Right now, we are still at 35C but, the flowers are starting to die off, some of them anyway... just little reminders that fall will be upon us. We won't get cooler weather until mid October- late October here in Washington, DC.

I never thought about it that way, but, you are right! That is almost always the case here. When it stops raining, it breaks out in a fit of sunshine, whereas, you will stay overcast the rest of the day. And you are right, it makes a huge difference!
