Pasta Fresca Italian Pizza | Tasteem Review

Like most restaurants in HCMC, this little secret Italian restaurants is hidden in the alley of yet another Vietnamese building in Le Thanh Ton street in District 1. Recommenced by a fellow friend who had recently patronised this restaurant, I decided to give it a try and check it out myself. I was told they have 2 other outlets at Thao-Dien & Phang Xing Long but this is their flagship restaurant since it's got a rooftop view of the city.

The view is great and with the perfect windy weather in HCMC, it allow cool breeze to calm the patrons who had to climb several flights of stairs before reaching the restaurant; greeted with a giant red door and amazing cosy ambience and friendly staff.

There's only several tables of 4 or 6 persons as such big groups would be impossible. Best to call for reservation first if wanting a table with the view or not seated next to a crowded or loud group. The selection is amazing with many good choices for every one of us. We shared our servings so that we could try more than just one flavour of pizza or pasta. I can understand why they are rated 4.5 by patrons in Tripadvisor.

The wait staff are really knowledgable and helpful; they can advise what sauce will go with which type of pasta. I highly recommend to try their dessert as well; basil panna cotta - quite an interesting flavour.

I would definitely return to try out the other selections on their menu. And you should too if you're in HCMC !
