Hello everyone! Today I am going to share a @tasteem review of an eating outlet I went to in Penang. My family and I ordered multiple items and almost all of them were made of noodles.

This is the front of the eating outlet. It was somewhere between a restaurant and a hawker stall. If you zoom in, you can see a banner about noodles. The name of the shop is Penang Hawker Food. It is located in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, Malaysia.

This is inside the shop. There was a tree that grew right in the middle of the shop. It was quite stuffy.

These are some of the items that my family and I ordered.

This is a plate of wanton noodles without pork. A bowl of soup was also included. This meal also came with a small plate of chilli for extra spicy taste.

Here is a closer look of the soup. It was made of tauhu and fish balls with some spring onions as well.

This is also a plate of wanton noodles but there is pork included in this. You can see it in the middle section of the noodles. The rest are the same.

This is a plate of fried noodles with pork. We can't see it in the picture as they are chopped into small pieces and fried with the noodles.

This is a bowl of curry noodles. The noodles were a mix of large noodles and small rice vermicelli noodles. Some fish balls and small prawns were also included.

This is a plate of char kuey teow. They are basically stir-fried flat rice noodles. They were served on a banana leaf which caught all of us by surprise because I have never seen this anywhere.

We all had warm barley as our drinks. Barley is a type of grain.

My Review

I have tried four types of noodles in this shop. Overall, the food was tasty. An old Chinese grandma prepared it so I guess she added her classic touch. Everything we had was priced reasonably. The only issue I had was the place being a little stuffy and congested. Apart from that, I am happy with my meal here. Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a great day ahead =)
