A pieceful birthday lunch with the rocker

It was a peaceful day as I took a day off from work, so I can service my car, arrange food for the kids, so I can finally get some time off to catch up with my dear bro @bitrocker2020

We weren't setting the appointment until 11 hours, and finally decided to meet up at Atria mall. After that we just walk through the streets and decided to go to Chicken rice shop. However, things changed from the moment we looked at the menu.

The thing that caught our eye wasn't the chicken rice! Come on mang, Ipoh chicken rice is just simply name speaks louder than the taste, we all know that. It's just that because they're so famous and everybody paid a bomb and decided to believe the placebo effect, expensively taste good. Simon decided to go with the curry fish head, as recommended by the floor manager(believe to be the owner! You know nowadays nobody wanna be a boss). True and behold, it was so damn tasty! The sauce was a little spicy, spicy as in taste, the use of herbs in the curry broth. If you want me to give you one word to describe, I'll quote Jeremy Clerkson, "astonishing".

Follow by that, was a plate of sharing dish of roasted pork belly and BBQ pork, we call it char sew. The roast pork were ok, not the best, but it was just nice. Could be better, but may be due ot the fact that the people are eating slightly healthier nowadays, so the pork has less fat. But the BBQ pork char sew was amazing. The lightly sweeten and salty flavor brings out the charcoal smell out of the BBQ pork. Now you know why they call it Char Sew? (no I made that up, it's a romanized Chinese word of 叉烧).

Finally, each of us ordered a jar of umbra juice, but that doesn't stop us from whacking more liquids due ot the fact that we're basically draining the whole pot of curry. And then finishing the rich with those beautiful pork, and we had to settle with another glass of iced tea. We seldom drink Chinese tea in tea bag, this probably the first time in my life. It's not the best Chiense tea, it was OK. We manage to taste the Chiense tea leafs, but it has nothing compare to proper green tea nor traditional Chinese black tea(pu-er). Finally after about 2 hours, we left the place and went back to Atria for take away durian puff. That concluded a very memorable Birthday lunch with @bitrocker2020.

Not the best meal we had, but probably one of the most sophisticated lunch of the century. Curry fish head, BBQ pork, roasted pork, in a Chicken Rice Shop. And we didn't even eat one slice of chicken. Amazing heh.

Oh so people really serve Chinese tea in tea bags... That's quite uncommon...

But hmm it looks even more uncommon to have good curry selling in a chicken rice shop! Anyway, good food is good food :P
