Social Distancing - The new norm

The first thing that everyone has to do when heading into a mall or building queue up to get temperatures taken. Then names written down. THis is what I have to do every weekend. My wife works at my mom's shop in this mall. Anyone found to have a temperature reading of more than 37.5 would not be allowed into the building and usually every one would be cooperating.

Earlier today, my family and I went to this restaurant to celebrate father's day. The only table occupied was my table. This is not usual. Pre Covid 19, all the tables are usually full. I guess, even when most of the lockdown rules have been lifted, everyone is still to some extend afraid to go to a crowded area.

I am not sure if this restaurant is going to make it and may shut down in a few months if nothing could be done to economically revive it. Many businesses here have shut down for good due to the inability to cope. Business just isn't as good. There are many setbacks and many either cook at home or order food delivery. Food delivery business here is booming. Loads of deliveries. Loads of them.

The muslim food riders do not usually do not mind if the food they collect is halal or not. Border discussions are still on the table with six countries like Australia, Singapore, Brunei, North Korea and I forgot what are the other two more countries.

Things are slowly getting back to pre covid in terms of restrictions. I guess the only time that everyone would truly feel safe is when a vaccine is produced and everyone gets innoculated. However, what if companies finally create a vaccine yet, the pandemic is over. Zika was a hot topic certain years ago but when due to some sort of resistance of the immune system, almost no one in Malaysia got affected by the virus. Covid 19 is a reset. It makes everyone realised the importance of financial freedom. We can't just rely on pay check to pay checks.

How is your weekend? Do you have Monday blues?
If you do, you have to work hard on your side hustles which would definitely be beneficial in the longer run.
