BANKOK FIRST IMPRESSIONS (17 Pics) - #JarvieInThailand
In November i visited Thailand to go to a conference representing https://steempeak.com/
I of course took my camera and found lots of opportunities to take pictures. These are just the first couple days of my experience.
PHOTOGRAPHY IN BANGKOK
I found Bangkok is an awesome place for Street Photography type pictures but much harder on someone that loves scenic pictures.
The issue is that I'm more of a scenic type photographer... even my portraits are often very scenic in nature... even if the scenes are city scenes. I'm sure there are plenty of options specially if you spend time working on finding places to get up high and getting unique views of the city.
And i love sunrise and sunset photography however much of the most popular stuff isn't open for sunrise and even sunset and the walls and gates are very closed and very tall.
BUT... let's see what I did get.
THE WATER TAXI EXPERIENCE
This was pretty much one of the first pictures i took on the trip... as i journeyed to the conference meetup on a water taxi with other conference goers.
Some of the WaterBus stations had plenty of people at them.
I found the water taxis to be one of the more unique experiences while in Bangkok. Sometimes hard to get pictures while moving or to not look so touristy... but I did get a few cool images.
THE WIRES
One thing that was super interesting to me were how many wires were everywhere.
I actually really got a kick out of them.
THE TEMPLES
One of the SteemFest experiences was visiting this temple which I actually spent most of the time chatting with other app developers because that's why i was there in Bangkok. But at least i got a few images.

EVENING HANGOUTS
SteemFest meetups were a lot of chatting and some food and drink but the locations were pretty interesting
THE VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL
I specifically upgraded to a balcony room so i could get early morning pictures of the city.

These are pictures from my trip to thailand. I was there for about 2 weeks during and after #SteemFest 4. I traveling with some old friends and took a lot of photography... about 4000+ images that turned into over 150 great people pictures and over 250 scenic shots... in particular images of the south of Thailand in the beach/island area.

Haha, I was so confused with the first picture!
The arms of the man on the left side, looked to me as if he is holding a machine gun and in combination with the weird blue helmet of the other man, it gave me a completely twisted impression of the security measures in the city :)
Nice pics. I only stayed there one night, on my way
back from Kho Kho Kao, close to Kao Laak...

These are some of the best photos I've seen. I was already missing Thailand and now the feeling is growing. It's easy to miss the temples but I'm missing even the wires 🙄 I liked the way squirrels used them as ecological corridors to move quickly in a busy city.

Great pictures! Glad you got a balcony, that view of the city is so good. I like you have really far away views and close up of the everyday things like the wires. And the link to the rest. So many good monkey pictures. And of course what is a @jarvie trip without a cat!
