Travel Plans

Been a while since I last traveled, well I did this summer when I visited Latvija but I can really consider it as traveling, It was more like road tripping. Anyway right in this month it time to get out of Estonia and travel a bit. I have flight tickets since May but for some reason, I never mentioned here where I'm going. So, on 21-st January I will fly to the United States, Florida. Can't wait for the warm weather and especially sunlight. So tired of the shit weather of Estonia this year, we don't even get snow.

I have wanted to visit the USA since I was a kid, but the problem is its too big a country. Why Florida then you might ask? Because I stumbled upon extremely cheap tickets. I had to pay 300 EUR for one there and back ticket, usually it much higher than that from Estonia. I just thought that let's buy now and think later and I did. I bought a ticket for myself and my GF so she got a good surprise surprise.

So my plans...
I will pretty much travel around the Florida state, at first I considered going to Georgia or South Carolina as well but I don't want to drive too much so I'll stick to FL this time.
I have already booked a rental car, no way you want to go to the US without one. Maybe only If you want to stay in one city and chill at the beach all the time, you know that is not my travel style.
The first five days I will spend in Miami, more exactly at Miami beach, at least we live there. OF course, we are driving out of the city during that time. For example, going to the Florida Keys and Everglades.

Not gonna go too in Depth with the plans because we don't even know yet what we will do and where we go exactly. I do have google maps with many places we want to see and visit, her is a screenshot of it.

Colors Indicate different times. In total, I spend 2 weeks there. Like I said first 5 nights I'm at Miami beach. From there we spend a night at West Palm Beach and then driving to the Cape Canaveral where NASA Kennedy space center is. From there Daytona beach 2 nights and the to the inland, 2 night in Gainesville. Finally 2 nights at Clearwater and last night at Fort Myers. So this is basically the circle we do. Everywhere we use Air Bnb accommodations. Some cheap and some privet houses on the beach.

Overall the plans are to hike in nature, see the cities, snorkel, swim and so on. Obviously, when we are in Floride we have to spend some time on the beach without doing shit. Like I said we don't really know yet what we do everywhere.
I will be AFK from Steem while traveling. AT least I get shitloads of new photography content I'm running out of right now.

If you have visited Florida or lived there then off the beaten track destination recommendations are welcome and advice and tips for traveling and road-tripping as well.

Hmm... The cat that could speak on Rick and Morty also wanted to go to Florida so bad...
I've also always wanted to visit the States and travel a lot... haven't had the proper chance yet. :(
I wish you a damn great trip! Hope WW3 won't start, lol.

So glad you are coming to America. I have only been to Florida once and it was to Orlando so I don't have any cool recommendation. @jarvie do you? Hope you enjoy!

Yeah, gotta explore that huge country step by step :D Right now I just miss the sunshine so Florida is a great destination. In Estonia, we rarely see sunshine at the moment. For four months straight we have pretty much only a handful hours of daylight and 90% of these times its totally cloudy. It was probably 3 weeks ago when I last felt sunshine in my face.
BUT summers are warm with plenty of sunlight and nights won't even get dark for 3 months. :D
