Highway Ride with plenty of mountain views and sweet wind

Highway Journey began with me leaving to a place called Gobi in Tamil Nadu, India from Salem. It was a Sunday, and so empty buses and I got a front seat for cockpit views. This was so worth it, because there was scenic stuff to behold, and it was a lovely drive with wind flowing, sweet, pleasant yet simple but abundant enough to give one joy(:

However Salem is as a place to stay, it has its charms as driving outskirts of it is sure to give one lovely views of mountains(the Eastern Ghats I guess).

Even while travelling in train passing the Salem leading up to Dharmapuri, there are fantastic views of mountains and green topology. Infact, in the train while watching the mountain terrains more closely I fantasized about running around touching the tree there, on a hill’s segment, more on that as we go there.

After a few hours I reached Gobi, where my Mom’s sister lives. Next day morning I got up early to enjoy the beauties of the early dawn, being at the terrace at 5:30am in the morning till sun rise came about.

The sky was decorated with round moon, I unfortunately did not take the moon’s snap when it looked full, but took this snap when it was getting covered by clouds as the sky was brightening up.

There were joyful songs of peacocks, I refer them as a song because I am sure somewhere in the surrounding farmlands male peacocks were dancing!!! I have witnessed this spectacle many times in my late grandfather’s farmland at Sathy, it’s beautiful and a little ironic as well, because it’s a beautiful dance by a handsome peacock to get attention from peahens(: ...handsome becomes beautiful, get it...ha, ha!!!

Then things changed when the sun came up fully, as all the peacock sounds vanished and now a multitude of crows came in bunches shamelessly crowing “Ka, ka, ka”, it was time to get ready to catch the train and head home.

The train journey again crossed Salem and post that for 2 more hours, amazing mountain displays followed and I saw the starting road leading up to a mountain, and I imagined how exciting it would be to drive on that road. Different trees too were there, it’s like even mountain trees are fashionable as their head greenery and style differed, I wanted to touch one such tree on a hill segment I saw. These trees are the stars afterall making these hills look so green, a beauty!!

When we reached home, we were greeted by our dear cats(: …

Garu came down from its bed to us.

Both cats got busy sniffing our luggage, the curious creatures they are.

Then Garu reciprocated how it is happy that I am back, as it established itself on my lap, I felt very touched. I mean, there is a stereotype that cats don’t show love, dogs do, Garu proves it wrong.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I did enjoy nice food in Salem as well, for there is nothing else in the town to do. Evenings at the eatery outside the Salem New Bus stand was nice. These little humble eateries, serving fresh and hot snacks to the common man, the public, at low rates are special and connecting. It’s busy, clean enough, decent, set in a open atmosphere and the snacks are good.

One does not feel odd, everything blends and our joy of eating connects us at that movement in time, humanity feels one irrespective of one's social, economic, cultural and other differences. Besides this, I could see the moon standing while devouring a snack near that stall serving hot coffee and tea, unfortunately since that area of Salem is super congested with traffic, not much nature enjoyment there.

Thus here ends my travel narration...thanks for reading(:

Incase, you missed the last two parts of my travel journey in October, check them out here -:
