WOW - what a week. If you are active on the Steem besides TravelFeed, you have probably heard of the ongoing situation. We are supporting the community witnesses with our witness proxy, see below for more details, but we are also hoping that the situation can be resolved in a way that is benevolent for all involved parties. The next few days are going to be very interesting and we're going to keep a close eye on further developments. But we want you to rest assured that all your content is stored on the Steem Blockchain and within our own database. So, no matter what happens, nothing is going to get lost and TravelFeed.io will continue to exist.
In the meantime we're working hard to soon release our TravelFeed.io update of version 3.0 and we're trying to stay focused and looking forward to the future without getting too distracted by all the turbulences.

Winners of the SEO Contest
Congratulations to all the winners of the first season of our SEO Contest. You did well and Google loves your content. You'll get to share a total prize pool of 100 STEEM this month, 50 STEEM sponsored by us and 50 STEEM sponsored by @justineh. The above screenshot is directly taken from the Google search console, the circled posts are the eligible ones published through TravelFeed.io since the announcement of the contest on January 13th.
In March, we are again giving away 100 STEEM to the post that get the most clicks from Google. This is your chance to earn big by publishing a viral TravelFeed post! So make sure that you pay attention to the way you structure your articles, keywords and titles, link to your TravelFeed blogs from external sites and write informative, long blogs about relevant topics.

Sex sells, and that is also true for SEO. Our first winner had an interesting spike in porn-related Google searches, which quickly wore off. No wonder, since food porn is probably not what any of the searchers had in mind. Anyway, congratulations @world-travel-pro for the first place!
@captainxcaptain's informative and well-written post has made it to the first page of Google for the very specific query "Hua Chang Waterfall" and has potential of ranking up higher for the more generic search term "pai waterfalls" . The great structure of the post using the table of contents block makes this post an evergreen and a sure source of income once we introduce ads. Great work @captainxcaptain!
This post's title has all the important keywords that make it rank good in searches for this niche topic. We expect it to continue to get clicks.
This post about a remote gem makes it to place 1 in Google for searches for Papan Recreational Forest Reserve, which is also the title of this post. The Google maps link contributes to the good ranking of the post, even though an embed might have been an even better choice. Great job on covering a niche topic!
Set Your Witness Voting Proxy To TravelFeed
As an owner of a Steem account, you can vote for witnesses to influence the governance of the Steem Blockchain. Are you having a hard time to use all of your witness votes? You can entrust your votes to us and we do the rest, making sure that only witnesses with the consent of the community receive them. Head over to your Steemit Wallet, click on the hamburger menu on the upper right and choose: Vote for Witness. Scroll all the way down to the proxy field, enter travelfeed and press enter and confirm.
We would like to note that we have our own witness server running 22.1 since we launched it back in November last year.

Zanzibar is commonly known as the Spice Island because of the innumerable spices that grow there. Zanzibar played a huge part in the 16th Century trade by being the first entry to East Africa. The Portuguese controlled trade and made plantations but did not stay there for long.
Thailand was a country that grabbed me by the stomach! Of all the countries I've lived in, this was the only one that I didn't have a kitchen at home. But it wasn't an excuse for not learning about the local cuisine, visiting markets and, of course, many restaurants!
