Photo story: Kranjska Gora
Dear friends here on HIVE, I hope you are enjoying in our new community. I really like it so far and I am looking forward to what the future will bring.
It has been a while since I shared my last photo story with you so I thing I owe you a new one already.
There are tough times all over the World with this new virus, so some of us have also a little more time and would like to share some great memories with you.
Photos below are from the time when you were able to walk around freely without fears of contamination or even police penalty for disobeying quarantine.
So enough talking lets start with my photo story.
We I already mentioned in the past we have a weekend house in Kranjska Gora, which is a small town in north-west part of Slovenia. It is one of most known ski resorts in my country, but it is much smaller than others in neighbour countries.
Still Kranjska Gora is geting more and more popular in summer time as well. There is a lot of possibilities for cycling and hiking. I am visiting it in summer time particulary as well as I am not skiing anymore.
That days I went on a walk with my little boy (still in stroller) and my lovely girlfriend. Photography was not my main goal that day, but still I took advantage and did few quick clicks.
First day we went to Zelenci, which is a spring of our biggest river Sava. Really beautiful place with water crystal clear and amazing nature surrending.
Second day we went the other way alond cycling road toward Jesenice and reached Gozd Martuljek where are also beautiful waterfalls, but not accsessable with stroller so unforcunatelly you will have to wait on photos from there for a while.
Water there is really crystal clean.
I simply love these walkways.
On this photo you can see kozolec (hayrack) as well. It is unique slovenian architectural structure where farmers dry fodder for animals.
We are proud on our mountains!
Love walking around partly shaded forest paths.
This flower is caller teloh in Slovenian language, I don't know the international word.
Someting Scotch in Slovenia, cattle.
Third day it was partly cloudy, especially at the mountain peaks.
There are acctually two lakes conected at Lake Jasna. This is the upper one whit its pier.
Reflection photos...
Panorama photo from the view point.
Do you see me and my babies?
On the way home as sky was getting grayer.
Kranjska Gora's landmark!
I would say that this one is my favourite :)
No, that one is my real favourite ;)
Being able to walk around freely is a luxury nowadays. No one ever thought modern day free society would come to this....
