Chatuchak PlayGround Vintage Mall , Bangkok - Part - 3 !!

avatar

Today for @marketfriday in Bangkok i am going to take you back to the PlayGround Vintage market the last two times i took you to this vintage markets i only showed you what they sold outside around the PlayGround mall but today to my surprise i found out that the mall which consist of eight levels the first three levels are jam packed with more vintage items that you could ever image.

Upon walking into the first floor of this huge vintage mall i came across these beautiful grandpa clocks standing tall and all in perfect working order.

I did notice that the first floor seem to have all the bigger and heavier vintage items lots of garden setting statues of all kinds European and Thai Guardians.

These old classic wind up pianos were just awesome to see i had never actually seen one before and in such good order.

This apparatus looks like one of the amp electric booster machines they used to bring Frankenstein alive...lol :)

This old school cash register what a beauty how did they ever move them around surely that must have had to use a crane to shift it around.

Who remembers these great old Pinball machines they were my favorite activity before school back in my school days and i was always late for my first period at class.

Moving up to the second floor now it starts getting even more interesting seeing this old box radio with a thousand station really bought back some memories and they still look great.

And look who else i found ET's friends the Aliens !!

These figurines were nicely made in clay and porcelain i think the flying pig the moose head the ram and many more interesting ones.

A great looking Stereogram Turntable still in working order great piece of furniture decorator.

Their are so many vintage items on this second floor it would be impossible to show you each one and some i don't even know what they are but they all look classical to me.

This Indian Dream Catcher was very different to most others with the Indian Face in the middle real spiritual looking.

This Asian chair going back a few hundred years was so beautifully caved out with the dragon head many hours gone into this piece of art.

The Buddhist statue collection and the Kings statue of Thailand in this mall were just amazing including all there spiritual Gods statues just to many to name.

And not only do they have ancient statues of the Buddhas dating back centuries of Thailand but also ones from India , Japan and China just a great collection overall.

This one store had the best priceless collection of smaller Buddhist statues and spiritual ornaments i have ever see it's the one shop i like to take all home.

Moving up to the third floor it more consisted of the 1930's furniture and chandeliers some may even be dating back further.

Honestly if you had a old Rama V house or old English house you needed to furniture this is the right place to come most definitely.

Some stuff animals like birds and ferals where seen around i couldn't tell you if they were real or not but they looked pretty real to me.

You know i never made it pass the third floor so who really knows what's up on the next remaining floors so it might have to be another trip back to the PlayGround Vintage Mall as you can see it's as busy with the Vintage Flea market as it is inside the mall.

If you take the MRT which is the underground train in Bangkok you get of at this station and the PlayGround Mall is right there in front of you about 200 meters from the station.

Good gracious ! That was a lot to see !

I adore Grandfather Clocks. I don't own one, but maybe one day.

My Great Grandmother had a player piano with the scrolls that loaded into the top and made it play by itself. When I was a child, she would start it up and let me watch it play.

Pinball machines are great fun.

I bet you could have taken a thousand pictures in there.

Wow! Wow! I make it a habit to visit antique and unique shops everywhere I go, but, to be honest, I have never, ever, in my entire life seen anything so amazing, so totally over the top fabulous and I am not sure I ever will!!!

The statues, in the beginning, were museum quality, as is most of the stuff. The piano is something that we call a player piano because the piano is the player. :) It uses special rolls of music that move the strings and make music. I love them and many people use them for entertaining if they don't have a player in the house.

The dream catcher is unique, but, almost everything you have is!!! China, crystal, antique chairs! Oh, my!!!

Can you take me there if I come? I daresay that may be a worthy trip! I am wondering if all those carvings are antique or man-made? Sometimes dealers make their own. :) But, this display is truly amazing! I have no words for such a wonderful place!!! Thank you, thank you so much for sharing it with #MarketFriday!

Thank you so much for posting into the #MarketFriday challenge!

I have been without internet since Saturday, so I am just getting to the #MarketFriday posts! So, I am at my coffeeshop! :) I would actually rather be home as this is taking a longer time than is polite taking up space here.

I want to thank you for the time and effort spent putting a post together for the challenge!

#MarketFriday loves you!
